"Sharing our love for Christ through fellowship and service"
God passionately loves men. He desires that men keenly love Him. God wants to use men. He wants men to serve Him, their wives, families and others in significant ways. At Christ United Methodist Church, we welcome men of all ages to grow spiritually and to serve their neighbor. The foundation of the Men’s Ministry is one man walking with another man, helping him to know Christ in a deeper way. We are passionate about developing leaders within the church, the home and at work.
All of the following groups and activities fall under the Methodist Men umbrella and strive to fund five $4,000 scholarships every year: Breakfast with Santa, Men’s Service Group, Men’s Friday Fellowship with Breakfast, Tuesday Night Bible Study, True Grit Bible Study, Golf Tournaments, Disaster Response, House on the Corner and Upward Concessions. Whether you are looking for opportunities to get your hands dirty, or something behind the scenes, we have something for you!

Methodist Men Concession Stand during Upward!
CUMC’s Upward Basketball Program is conducted at the Christian Life Center on Friday nights and Saturday during the months of January and February. CUMC’s Methodist Men run the concession stand and profits are used to help fund our annual college scholarships. CUMC’s Methodist Men have raised money through golf tournaments, Breakfast with Santa, Upward Basketball concession stand and individual donations. Scholarships of $4,000 have been awarded to 5 CUMC graduating seniors each of the past 2 years.
The games begin the weekend of January 10-11 and conclude the weekend of February 28/March 1. If you are available during any of these dates to volunteer we would greatly appreciate the help. If you cannot work a complete shift, please feel free to come help out in the concession stand for any amount of time you are able, only use the shift sign up if you can work the whole time, this is the minimum volunteer help per shift more are welcome.
No prior experience is needed. Let me know if you can help and what shift you would like to work. You can update the sign-up sheet on the link below or contact me and I can do it for you.
Thanks for your help,
Steve Homoky and James Heck
