Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends is a mutual assistance, self-help organization offering friendship and understanding to families who have experienced the death of a child. The purposes are to support and aid families to achieve a positive healing resolution of the grief experienced upon the death of a child and to foster emotional and physical health. The secondary purpose is to provide information, education and support about bereaved parents and grandparents and siblings. The intent is to assist those in their community, friends, employers, co-workers to be supportive during a difficult time. Guidance is provided with experienced and trained individuals who have experienced a loss of a child".
Plano Compassionate Friends meets at Christi United Methodist Church, the 4th Tuesday of each month in the north building, Room N257 at 7:00 pm.
