Boliva Missions
This mission works diligently for the improvement of health care in South America, primarily Bolivia where CUMC has had several mission trips. The Curamericas program concentrates on child and maternal health care to help alleviate infant mortality rates and to keep women healthy during pregnancy. In most areas there is no running water or electricity so these programs are essential to meet the most basic health care needs.
Curamericas Global, Inc. partners with organizations in communities that lack basic health services to develop self-sustaining programs that deliver measurable improvements in health.
Although we have worked in Haiti, Mexico, Bolivia, Guatemala, and are beginning work in Liberia, all of Curamericas Global's programs are guided by the following standards:
· We measure the effectiveness of our work. · Health care services are equitable in access and usage. · Our programs are community-based, and promote community empowerment. · Health benefits are eventually sustainable locally.
