Malaria/ Mosquito Net
Nothing But Nets is a global, grassroots campaign to save lives by preventing malaria, a leading killer of children in Africa. This project is supported by the United Methodist Global Health Initiative, in partnership with the United Nations Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to combat diseases of poverty that kill children - mostly in Africa (malaria, HIV/AIDs and Tuberculosis). We anticipate that this Global Health Initiative (especially the first phase - "Nothing But Nets" campaign against malaria) will be high on the minds of most United Methodist leaders. This common goal will unite us as Methodists and bring us around an issue we all care deeply about, healing, saving, and loving in the name of Jesus Christ.
