Shoe Ministry

The Shoe Ministry helps children in the Plano area who cannot afford new shoes for the upcoming school year. This is a mission project that has been undertaken as a team effort by seven Plano churches over the last seven years. There may now be need to expand the mission from serving the Plano Independent School District to serving the whole of Collin County. We provide new shoes to children who cannot afford them for the upcoming school year. Individuals working on this mission project will collect money to purchase shoes, coordinate with First United Methodist Church in Plano, and help distribute shoes on shoe giveaway day. FUMC Plano purchases shoes with the funds raised in support of this project.
