The Children’s Ministry at Christ United Methodist Church (CUMC) seeks the transformation of the world by building connections to Jesus Christ in all God’s children, each beloved, uniquely gifted, and wonderful. With this vision statement we hope to communicate our desire for an inclusive ministry that shares the love of God through Jesus Christ with one another and the world.

The Children’s Ministry at CUMC is a loving, spiritually nurturing, fun and safe community where we are committed to celebrating each person’s value within the body of Christ. We seek to provide all children, their families, and those who serve them with programming that instills an eternal imprint of God’s love, and helps them to grow in their relationships with one another, the world, and Jesus Christ.

The Children's Ministry offers both Sunday school classes and social events to build a foundation of faith in every child. Registration for the 2010-2011 school year is now open. Rehearsals begin September 12. Please click HERE for more information.

3rd Grade Bible Retreat and Presentation

Friday, September 17, 6 p.m. - Saturday, September 18, 8 a.m.

You may register for the retreat HERE. Bibles will be presented at the 11:00 service on Sunday, September 19. If your 3rd grader would like a Bible, please email Susan Burden with the following information: child's name exactly as you want it to appear on the nameplate, parent's name, phone, and email. Please note that the Retreat and Presentation are two distinct events: there is no cost to receive a Bible.

Cradle Roll Meet and Greet

Sunday, September 19th
12:15 - 1:30 p.m., in N156
All new and expecting parents are invited to this annual event. Join us for a light lunch and fellowship as we introduce the nursery staff and volunteers who lovingly care for our youngest angels. Other ministry representatives such as Mom-To-Mom, will also be available to answer your questions and share information about the ministry opportunities for families with young children. Childcare is available. Please contact Liz Turner with any questions you may have or to RSVP for this event.

Kids ROCK Lock-In

Friday, October 1, 6 p.m. - Saturday, October 2, 8 a.m.

Come really get to know your Kids ROCK friends. We'll enjoy dinner, games, a mission project, a scavenger hunt, crafts, a movie and a sleepover! (Spending the night isn't required; children can be picked up at 10 p.m.) Register HERE.

Kindergarten Big Church Roundup

Sunday, October 3, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Kindergartners are invited to come learn all about the worship service, or "big church." You can read all the details and register HERE.

Note: Evening Kindergarten choir will be cancelled on the afternoon of the Roundup.
