Guided Tours this Fall

Each Sunday in September starting at noon, guided tours will be available of our new sanctuary. Simply meet at the new welcome desk and one of our trained tour guides will share with you the excitement of this space. You will learn about symbolism in our stained glass windows, intricacies of our new organ, and sustainable features of the building. No reservations are needed and guests are invited.

If you would like to schedule a guided tour of the new sanctuary for a group over 10 people, please contact Rev. Alexandra Robinson.

Invite 1

We encourage you to invite a friend to worship in our new sanctuary or to participate in the many other life-transforming ministries at CUMC. Here's some ways you can share the word about CUMC with your friends!
  • Share one of the new Invite 1 business cards available at the welcome desk. Each card has a blank line to share the ministry opportunity you think your friend would most enjoy!
  • Send a link to our sanctuary video. This inspiring video can share with others a genuine CUMC welcome. Click here to view the video.
  • Buy an "Inspiring Life" t-shirt, to start up a conversation about CUMC. T-shirts are available for $8 Sundays in the narthex.

September 12 Consecration

Join with your church family in the celebration of this beautiful new worship space.  Bishop Earl Bledsoe of the North Texas Conference United Methodist Church will preach all three services  and Mayor Phil Dyer will offer a declaration on behalf of the City of Plano.  Beginning at 11:00 a.m. we will have a hot dog lunch on the west lawn with special recognition of our transition team and building committee at noon. Come and celebrate God's magnificent work on this special day!

Full Court Worship Renovation
Our Contemporary Worship, Full Court, will move to the former sanctuary after remodeling.  Construction begins this fall and is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving.  During the week, this space will also function as a multi-use space/ fellowship hall. Remodeling of the adjacent area/former choir room into a coffee bar and seating area is also beginning this fall.
