Join us in the south narthex as our adult Sunday school classes gather to meet you and help you find the “right fit.” We have 24 classes that meet each week so there is something for everyone. Life Stage:  early 50s+
Description:  A warm, caring, inviting, small class that studies, reflects, and discusses how the Bible relates to our daily living. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
 

FAMILY LIVING

Room N158  
Life Stage:  50s+
Description:   Active “empty nesters” class very involved in the ministries of the church and in our community. Studies include Bible, Christian living topics, current events and guest speakers.

Life Stage:  families in 30s, 40s and 50s with kids of all ages
Description: A class for dynamic discussion on a wide range of topics from a Christian perspective.  We consider a variety of points of view on topics that range from biblical truths to current events and everything in between.  We take turns leading the class in relevant curriculum, and bring a broad diversity of perspectives. We also enjoy lots of fun social events together each year, and would gladly welcome anyone to our circle of fellowship. 
 

BLENDED AND BLESSED

Life Stage:  couples and singles
Description: We are a blend of couples and individuals of all ages and stages who nurture one another as a Christian family through study, worship, service and fellowship.  We are a self-taught class, sharing our experience, faith and support with each other.  Whether you are single or married, Blended and Blessed is a place to find safety and support from friends who share similar challenges and spiritual aspirations.  Please join us on Sunday mornings at 9:45 in room N262!   
 

CONNECTIONS

Life stage:  all ages and all stages of life
Description:  We are a Bible-based class that encourages group discussion on how to apply the teachings of the Bible to our individual lives and to our world. We are blessed to have a comfortable setting that allows us to share thoughts and experiences beyond surface-level discussion. Our medium-sized class allows for all to be heard! Join us on Sunday, September 19 for our 7-week Song of Solomon series.  This study teaches the Biblical design for relationships for both singles and couples.  It follows Solomon's relationship from attraction to dating and courtship, marriage and intimacy to resolving conflict, keeping romance alive and committing to the end.
 

CORNERSTONE

Life stage:  30s & 40’s with children
Description:  The Cornerstone class offers an open, supportive environment for couples and growing families. New families have a lot of challenges to face in today's world. The Church provides an important foundation for helping to cope with those challenges.  Our Cornerstone class is here to further facilitate the Church mission at a family level. In so doing, we hope to help each other grow - making a positive impact for our families, our church and our broader community.
 

DISCIPLES

Life stage: mostly seniors, but all adults welcome
Description: Join this large and active group of seniors in lively discussion led by outstanding teacher Ernest Horany. Members generously give their time and talents to CUMC’s ministries.
 

DISCOVERIES

Life Stage:  40s to 50s, most with teenagers but have children of all ages
Description:  This is an active class bound together by our commitment to being a church family. We pursue a variety of topics on Sunday mornings in a discussion format and have a commitment to missions and social activities outside of class.  
 

FAITH BUILDERS

Life stage:  20s & 30s but all adults welcome
Description:  Class is composed of adults from all walks of life in their 20s and 30s who seek to study the Bible and how it applies to their daily lives. Most of our children are under the age of 6, and our Junior Faith Builders’ numbers are growing by leaps and bounds! We meet each Sunday to pray, study God’s Word and socialize. We would love for you to come join us! 
 

FAMILY MATTERS

Life stage:  couples in their 30s and early 40s with children
Description:  This adult class focuses on Bible study and how the Bible relates to current events. We plan quarterly socials and gatherings to strengthen family bonds. Join us as we grow our families closer to God.
 

FOOTLOOSE (Singles)

Life stage:  50+
Description:  A socially active class for single “empty nesters” who enjoy Bible study, discussion of spiritual matters, fellowship activities and sharing life experiences.
 

FORUM

Life stage:  50s+
Description:  Visit this "forum for discussion" on Christian living topics, book studies, outstanding local speakers and Bible study. Class members are mostly "empty nester" couples.  
 

FOUNDATIONS

Life stage:  30s and 40s+ with children of all ages
Description:  This self-led class explores and strengthens its foundation of faith through the lessons of Christ as they apply to roles of parents, spouses, friends and neighbors. Foundations appreciates multiple points of view in Christ-centered discussions. Members have varied religious backgrounds and are mission and fellowship-oriented. To find our room, follow the sound of laughter!  
 

JOURNEY OF FAITH

Life stage:  all adults
Description:  Are you looking to take the next step in your journey of faith? Join us as we share the meaning and message of the Bible in a small group discussion format.
 

KOINONIA

Life stage:  50s+
Description:  Koinonia is an eclectic mix of mature United Methodists who enjoy each other's fellowship, while deepening their insight into the history of United Methodism and our church, our mission in the world and our community, and by putting that insight into action by supporting the many programs of Christ United Methodist Church.
 

OPEN DOOR

Life stage:  40s and 50s+
Description:  Lessons are Bible-based with emphasis on group discussion and a variety of subjects all pointing toward spiritual growth and living a Christian life in today's world. Members enjoy each others' company and keep a regular social calendar. Please consider this your invitation to come and join us as we learn and grow together.
 

P.A.C.E.

Life stage:  married and singles with college age to grown children
Description:  An active, involved and friendly class that is vitally involved in church and class mission projects and ministries with the intent of making a difference. Classes include Christian living topics, book studies and life engaging subjects lead by educators, subject matter experts and class members who encourage open discussion. The class has frequent social offerings that are well-attended. P.A.C.E. openly welcomes new members.   
 

PASSAGES

Room N157        
Life stage:  late 40s+, most with college age kids, some younger and older
Description:  Class enjoys a combination of Bible study and examining current issues and how they relate to our faith. We are mostly self-led and emphasize class discussion, but often have outside speakers. Mission work and social events allow us to get to know each other better as we serve God. Passages provides a safe, supportive haven to share joys and concerns.  Visitors are always welcome. 
 

PERSPECTIVES

Life stage:  30s and 40s, many with young children
Description:  Perspectives focuses on applying Christian principles to their daily lives through shared discussion, service, social events, and spiritual growth for couples in their 30s and 40s.
 

SERENDIPITY (Singles)

Life stage:  late 30s - early 50s
Description:  This class focuses on Bible study and weekly spiritual renewal in a positive, joyful environment. We also enjoy mission projects together and have an active social calendar.
 

SISTERS (Women’s Class)

Description:  Women of all ages and stages of life, single or married, are invited to join Sisters for open discussion of topics relating to faith, world religions and community.
