Confirmation

Confirmation is a time for 7th grade youth to commit to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives, better understand the Christian faith, and learn the privileges and obligations of baptism and full church membership. It is, by far, one of the most important ministries we offer our youth.

WHO? 7th grade youth, their families, Confirmation teachers, and Faith Partners
WHAT? the history of the church, United Methodist beliefs, Scripture study, service projects, fun, friendship... real life change!

WHEN? Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m... and a few times in between
WHERE? the Christian Life Center (CLC), unless otherwise specified

The 2011 Confirmation season will begin January 6th with a youth and parent meeting in the Christian Life Center (CLC) LOFT at 6:00 p.m. On January 7th, the youth will gather again at the CLC to officially kick off the season in fun! The first Sunday morning class will be Sunday, January 9th, at 8:30 a.m. For the full Confirmation 2011 schedule, please click here. *Note: youth are not allowed more than two absences from Sunday morning lessons (details in the Confirmation Covenant below).

Registration for Confirmation is free but requires completion/signing of the following forms. For your convenience, you can click on each one to download.

Adult Confirmation Class! Parents, church members, and visitors are invited to attend the adult Confirmation class led by Reverend Abe Smith, Associate Minister of Youth and Full Court Worship. The adult class will meet in Rm. N156 (north building) at the same time as the youth classes (8:30 a.m.) and will cover the same content with an adult "twist." In the past, parents have loved the Confirmation class because it deepens their understanding of the Christian faith and focuses on their role in nurturing their child's faith. Registration is not required for the adult Confirmation class.
