Loving God, Serving Others ... Transforming Lives

Wednesday Night Lent Worship Services

On February 17, we entered the season of Lent. It is a special time for self-reflection, fasting, renewal and prayer where we set aside our wants and listen for the voice of God. Lent represents the 40-day period when Jesus went into the wilderness and fasted to contemplate, reflect upon and prepare for His ministry. We use these 40 days as a time of introspection, repentance and preparation for Easter.

In preparation for Lent, CUMC children were asked to draw their interpretations of "Lift High the Cross". Each Wednesday evening, from February 24 through March 31 at 6:30 p.m. in room N255, one child's vision of Lent will be featured on the cover of the Wednesday Lent Worship Guide. Children will also be participating in the services with Rev. Stacey Piyakhun. Communion will be served each week.

We would love to have you join us as we journey through the Lenten season together and lift high the cross. We encourage you to attend these Wednesday evening Lent services as a family. You won't want to miss this special worship series.
