Loving God, Serving Others ... Transforming Lives

God wants the very best for our life, and expects every area of your life to bring God glory. Our finances can be a wonderful tool for helping others and living out God’s purposes for life. Unfortunately, sometimes our “stuff” gets the best of us and we find ourselves being overwhelmed with responsibility and debt.

Financial Peace University (FPU) is a Biblically-based accountability curriculum that teaches how to make the right decisions with your money. FPU is a 13-week video series designed to get you out of debt and stay out of debt. During the 13 weeks the average participant reduces their debt by $5,300 and saves $2,700. More importantly FPU helps free you from the burdens of finances and empowers you to do great things with your money.

New Class Begins on Monday, September 20 at 7:00pm!

Class Details:

1. How often do the classes meet? There are 13 class two-hour sessions that meet once a week usually in the evenings.  Please contact Liz Turner to make a reservation for childcare.

2. How long is each class session? Each class is two hours, and each is independent of the others.
Part One, taught by Dave Ramsey on DVD, teaches you how to make wise financial decisions based on Scripture.
Part Two of each class session is a small-group discussion. The design of the discussion groups helps you apply the principles to your daily life. Members hold each other accountable, build friendships, and support one another. Since personal finance is 80% behavior, this small-group format ensures that class members realize finance is more than just math.

3. What is the average size of the class? The video portion of the class is unlimited. However, during the discussion time, we will break into groups of 12-20 people, plus a coordinator, for each small group. In the past, the overall class sizes have ranged from 15-25 people.

4. If I miss one class, can I make it up? Terry and Deb Scott can work with you to make up that lesson by allowing you to take the video lesson home with you, as long as you return it the following class.
